화살과 노래: 롱펠로우 > 고전문학

하늘을 향해  활을 쏘았네

화살은 땅에 떨어졌으나 간 곳을 몰랐네

너무도 빨리 날아가 버려

눈으로도 그 화살을 따를 수 없었네

하늘을 향해  노래를 불렀네

노래는 땅에 떨어졌으나 간 곳을 몰랐네

제 아무리 예리하고 빠른 눈이라 해도

날아가는 노래를 누가 볼 수 있으랴

오랜 세월이 흐른 후 한 느티나무에

부러지지 않고 박혀있는 화살을  보았네

그 노래도

한 친구의 가슴 속에  오롯이 남아 었었네
